The Impulsor was my first tank from the Primaris range. I really enjoyed building it. The paintjob was a little tricky because I don’t own an airbrush. The contrast paint over metallic basecoat pooled here and there a little so the turquoise is darker in some spots. At first I was a bit unhappy with it but now I think it has some kind of weathered look to it and I’m happy with it.

I also learned that adding multiple thinned down layers are better than one coat with a loaded brush. On big flat surfaces this method creates a more ‘even’ color.

The base was also fun to build. I added parts from the Imperial Knights sprue and other mechanic looking bits I’ve found.
