Hey friends,
I showed you the finished Ironclad Dreadnought already in another post, here it is now in full colour like I promised. I have the rocket launcher on my to-do list and maybe I’ll magnetize them. Like I said it was fun to build and to paint. I love dreadnoughts and the lore. I mean how cool is that to know there are remains of the greatest warriors of the chapter inside of this battle-sarcophagus. He’s probably not the last one I made for my army.
To give him a more dynamic pose he actually has one leg in the air. The model is connected with only one foot to the base. It also stands on a rock to make him a little bigger compared to a regular Dreadnought and the other models next to it on the battlefield. I wanted to create a feeling of intimidation like if hes in attack mode.
I made several weapon options. Hurricane Bolter, Chain Fist, Seismic Hammer, Power Fist. Applying the blood effect on the Chain Fist with Tamiya clear red was so much fun. It’s dangerous to overdo it though. So my advice: be careful. Sometimes less is more.
